Currently, the procedure for issuing loans to foreigners in Turkey has been significantly simplified. The loan processing time has been reduced to four days.
The first thing you have to do to get a mortgage is to choose an apartment and apply to the bank. A bank account is opened for you and the next day an expert from the bank will be called to assess the property you have chosen. The expert opinion is drawn up within two working days and on the third day you will be given an answer on the loan. The loan amount is issued no more than 50% of the cost of housing, up to five years, with an interest rate in foreign currency from 6.6% to 7.2% per annum, in Turkish lira the percentage reaches 22.
To apply for a loan, you will need the following documents:
1. Certificate of income for the last three months, it must be translated into Turkish
2. Tax number of the Republic of Turkey
3. Registration information
4. Passport
5. Compulsory life insurance
6. Purchased home insurance
