According to the new rules, the required amount of acquired real estate at the cadastral value is set at 200,000 US dollars (at the exchange rate of November 2, 2023, this amount in Turkish lira is about 5,670,000 lira). What does this mean?

When purchasing real estate, the title document (Tapu) must contain a purchase amount not lower than that specified above. At the same time, the market value may be higher. Each purchase with the participation of a foreign citizen goes through an evaluation stage by an authorized expert. The conclusion provided by this expert will be taken into account by the cadastral authority when registering the purchase and sale transaction.

After completing the transaction, in the package of documents provided for obtaining a residence permit, you will need to provide a copy of Tapu, as well as the assessment examination carried out and a number of your own documents.

Also, this rule applies only to open areas of Antalya; in areas closed to obtaining a residence permit, it is still impossible to obtain a residence permit, even with a valuation of 200+ thousand US dollars.
