To work in the Republic of Turkey, having a residence permit, which is issued when buying real estate, is not enough. A residence permit is issued for the possibility of living in the country, but not working. For official employment, you must obtain a work permit (work visa). Please note that illegal work threatens with deportation for several years, and the employer with a very impressive fine.
So, for officially employed foreign citizens, the minimum wages are set:
domestic service worker TL 2,825;
tourism and entertainment workers TL 5,650;
marketers, export experts, sellers 4,237.5 Turkish liras;
doctors, teachers 8,475 Turkish lira;
engineers and architects 11,300 Turkish liras;
pilots 18,362.5 Turkish lira;
Based on these figures, the employer is obliged to make contributions to the SGK social security service.
