The Turkish authorities have regulated the main areas of activity of real estate agencies and clarified the basic requirements for the implementation of this activity. Starting in September last year, real estate companies must have new certificates that allow them to operate in the rental and sale of real estate.
If the agency commits a violation, the fine will be 25,000 lira, in the case of individuals - 5,600 lira.
Individuals are not allowed to advertise their home in order to rent or sell it. To do this, the owner must contact a licensed real estate agency.
Such measures are aimed at improving the professional level of sales managers, real estate agencies, protecting the market consumer from non-professional activities.
