Oops, phone blocked in Turkey, why?
You, like all normal people, came to Turkey with your own phone, and stayed in your beloved Antalya for 3 months. And suddenly, your phone stops showing signs of life. So bam and that's it, you are not online, you have lost everything.
Turkish law establishes a 120-day period from the date of entry into the country, during which you can use your mobile phone purchased outside of Turkey. If you put a Turkish SIM card into this handset, then the 120-day period starts counting down.
What is this term?
Registration of a foreign telephone in Turkey with the Office of Information and Communication Technologies is required. This is a kind of way to protect the country from imports (subjective opinion).
An important nuance! A person who has arrived in the country can register a phone (not suitable for those who have not traveled anywhere), and only one mobile phone can be registered for one person and only once every three years.
The tax is 2006 lire.
Exit number 2 - buying a pipe in Turkey.
What will be more economical, of course, it is up to you to decide.
