Turkey is a Muslim country, therefore, people are not unambiguous about alcohol consumption. In large developed cities, alcohol is sold in almost any store, restaurant, bar, hotel, of course, there are exceptions, alcohol is prohibited from selling in the immediate vicinity of educational institutions and mosques. Turks do not drink alcohol in large quantities, so it is very rare to find a drunken company on the street.
In Turkey, there is even a traditionally alcoholic drink called Raki, which contains 43% alcohol. This drink has a specific pronounced taste of anise. Traditionally, they bring special glasses for Cancer (accent on "s").

Only half the glass is filled with alcohol, then water and ice are added. After mixing all the ingredients, the drink changes color from transparent to milky. The Turks themselves call this cocktail Aslan sütü, which means lion's milk. Any fish restaurant has this drink in stock, and a piece of ripe melon with white cheese is considered the best snack for it.
There are many grapes growing in Turkey, so a lot of wine is produced. There are even small factories that offer tourists a taste of their finest wines.
Beer is probably loved in all countries of the world, and Turkey is no exception. There are not so many varieties of this drink, the most famous are Efes Pilsen, Miller, Bomonti, Heineken, Tuborg, although perhaps these are the most popular world brands of beer. For a snack with beer, you will definitely be brought nuts or chips, but dried Rybka, squid rings and crackers are a completely incomprehensible treat for the local population, do not even try to find it here.
Whiskey vodka is also held in high esteem by the Turks, but cognac, gin, rum, martini, campari are less in demand.
And finally, I want to say that during the days of the State Election, it is strictly forbidden to sell alcoholic drinks in stores all day, so we stock up in advance!
